Oz AttireAll the different sorts of clobber that various types of Aussies wear for various activities. Oz attire encompasses the usual range of global clothing people tend to wear, such as suits for business people, unoseeme gear for the armed sevices, etc. There are, however, also several sets of OzWear that are individual to both Oz and sometimes certain occupations. Note that these are not exclusively worn by all in the given profession, and some are by now little more than stereotypical.
Truck Drivers:
Note that this style of attire can also be found on many non - truck - driving Aussies. It has a national popularity due to the ease of movement and coolness on hot days that it offers.
Farmer:
This is the real "man on the land" kit, durable yet formal. The Drizabone is not necessarily only worn when it's raining, they act like waterproof armor and prevent your clothes getting dirty.
AFL Player:
All AFL (Australian Football League) players must wear clothing 2 sizes too small for them, so it ends up skin tight. This makes AFL a favourite sport among women.
Volunteer Bushfire Fighter:
These are seen at any self respecting bushfire. There is also a similar set of attire for State Emergency Service volunteers, only they are orange and don't have neck guards.
Couch Potato:
A regular sight on the couch in the living room of the house in working class suburbia, watching some sort of sport on TV whilst supporting a beer in one hand and a remote control in the other. Related links:
